Bringing the Gospe Home - Luke 4.14-21

Pastor Josh Ehrler
Its one thing for Jesus to be out in the world doing his thing, tossing tables and tossing around sickness and demons. Then Jesus went to his home synagogue, as he normally did (Luke's phrase). His hard words of confronting the destructive powers working against God's own come from within his own people who loved him. His words are our words, because nothing he says is strange or unique. We sing these words, just as his family sang these words. His sermon is a call to imagine God's Word working through us, leading us from safety and status quo into God's kingdom. #sermon
